Air Kerala plans to commence operations by June next year, with the inaugural flight departing from Kannur International Airport. Initially focusing on domestic routes with regional twin-engine turboprop ATR aircraft, the airline aims to expand to international destinations, establishing Kannur as a key hub for travel.
